Anybody know where to get acrylic locally?

Total does not sell scraps and can be pretty tough to deal with if you are not a business. I have an account with them and get decent pricing, but still have to buy full sheets. There is a plastics place in youngstown OH (i think) that sells drops and deals with the public. I can't remember the name off the top of my head but will ask Adam if I get a chance.

What exactly are you looking for?

Bill, when I was there a couple years back, they sold and gave me a few scraps. I too delt with them as a business but they were very friendly with me.

You can try curbell plastics in cranberry. I bought some drop stock off them a few years back. Just told them what I was needing and they called me when they had it.

They have always been very friendly with me and given me great wholesale pricing, but a few other club members have tried to deal with them and have been turned away. I suppose it really depends on how you present yourself and needs :)

I will give them a call early next week and see what they have to say about drops. I have got some quotes recently, but have not purchased in a few years.

Hi all,

A lot of places don't sell drops because even if they do cut to size, they make the customer take the whole sheet.

The place in Youngstown is Baker plastics. They do fabrication, so they keep their own drops. They sell drops at a reasonable price, but if you want cut to size be prepared to pay a premium.

Curbell and GE Polymer shapes are cheaper than Baker and closer, so do consider arranging a group buy through the club and getting enough people together to share a full sheet. Both places have cutting capabilities at reasonable prices.

Adam
