i was wondering if anyone has tried this .. bonding plexiglass to acrylic .. i know they are the same compound but will they weld together ?? any help would be great ..

plexiglas is just the trade name for acrylic. They are the same thing so they'll bond with a solvent based adhesive like weld-on....Silicone will not form a strong bond with plastics like acrylic (plexiglas) or polycarbonate (lexan) although some people have used it for baffles in a sump and things have worked out. Hope this helps.

yea rock it does .. i know silicone will not bond 2 acrylic only glass .. but thank you for the incite ..
