From what I understand they change physical states at 71 degrees F and maintain a temperature between 68-75 degrees in the shipping package. People in the herp hobby (especially with dart frogs which fit those temps perfectly) seem to be using them with great success.

Now looking at liveaquaria, the acceptable range of temperatures for corals is 72-78. So, would 68-75 be acceptable as a temporary range of temperatures for corals for a day or two in transit? If so, these might be a vast improvement over the standard heat/cold packs.

What yall think?
