Anybody using a mirror background?

Hello all,
I am thinking of installing a mirror for the background of my 150. Does anyone have any experience with this? How did it turn out? any pics?

I did back in the late 70's it was alright, I think a blue or black bacground helps bring out the colors better.

Just make sure there is no way for saltspray to get to it. If you have alot of saltcreep, it will corrode the silvering.

My fish hate seeing their reflections. I think it would be overly stressful. I would do it IF I had no plans to add fish.

Thanks for all the replies. I had not considered the issue of the fish seeing their reflection. That pretty much is a deal buster for me, I don't want to be limiting my options on fish because of the mirror. Thanks for pointing that out. How would you put a black background on a 6ft tank?

I actually tried this on my 10 Gallon and it looked really cool. No problem with the fish, actually it seems to keep them company. Also it's really cool to see what goes on behind your tank.

I'd just use cardboard and replace it every year when it gets damaged

If you have any plans of getting a Tang or any Wrasses you can forget about it. The mirror will definitely make them go crazy.

I put a mirror as the background of my tank but everytime I would look in there I would see a big dork staring back at me... spooky to say the least.
