Anybody with experience with Bermuda Skimmers?

I'm interested in buying a bermuda skimmer.

I'm looking at a 5c to handle a fully loaded 150g tank.

Anybody with experience (good or bad)?

Any mods?

Advice?

Can I plumb the inlet to my overflow outlet...so that I don't need a pump?

no this is a venturi skimmer you need to use a pump your overflow won't have enough pressure.

When it says that it circulates 1000 gph...and that it recommends 1500, does that mean that if I get anyhting less, that it won't work?

This is for a Bermuda 5C model that I purchased.

I've heard that Pan World pumps are great (and they're inexpensive).Panworld 50px-x

Bermuda suggests a Mag 12 or Mag 18...but Mags are expensive, loud, and energy demanding.

If they are true venturi skimmers its gph so any pump with the recommended gph should do
