I have ordered from them several times. They have always been great. The Acans wer better then they pictured.

Sonny is a great guy to deal with. His Coral is excellent and his customer service is great as well. I have purchased oral from him at MACNA and took a road trip to his place in Md.

I have heard alot of bad things about them. On another forum there were alot of people complaining about getting alot of half heads of acans.

First let me say that I have not ordered from them and am not taking sides or anything like that. But they do say on the website somewhere that some of the acans will have half heads and that multiple half heads will be added to come up with the total. For example, if there is 1 whole and 2 half heads, they count that as two heads total. Now they may have added this disclaimer as a result of getting complaints but it may also have been there and people just didn't read the fine print.
I may give them a shot and see what happens. The prices are reasonable and shipping is included so you can get a small package for a little more than it would cost me just for gas driving to ABC, Rochester, or Buffalo.

Yeah I have no personal opinion. I have not ordered from them. Just thought I would add what I had heard.

Dave....you will be happy with your order from Sonny @ Mr.coral...he is in "My opinion" one of the best reef shops in the Northeast. I have personally purchased coral from him 6-7 times.....he will treat you right. As St.James said tell him George and jim sent you.
Now just beause this is a pet peeve of mine....if you do not have experience with a vendor, retailer or supplier.....opinion or not....it's best to make no comment at all.

Isn't the point of this website to inform people? Why should I not inform him of what I have heard? Just because you have had good luck does not mean that everyone has. The thread I was refering to was on another website and there were at least 5 ppl to complain about their orders. I thought I would let him know and I even offered to order with him so RELAX!

Yes..Matt this website is supposed to be informative...but accurate information. Just becasue 4-5 people have had a bad expereince does not mean that they are a bad retailer, he has hundreds of customer's every day..I may have came accross a bit corse, but most everyone is quick to zero in on a negative response and forget that there are 100's...even 1000's of happy customer's, otherwise he would not be in business. Did not mean to jump on you for that...Hear-say info is nothing more than that...Hear-say. As a business owner I guess it just erk's me when one or even a few negative comments can taint an entire population of customers. Wish I had a place to vent about lame customers....

One other thing I will add to this regarding what "other people say". I have read four negative posts regarding my original question. As best as I can remember only one person had a very bad experience personally. All the other negative comment that people heard or read somewhere else could be referring to the same negative comment on another board. Now there are three negatives, but they all refer to one single bad experience. It makes things seem worse than they are. I am not against second hand information. In many cases it is better than none at all. When I make a final choice I will weight different opinions differently.
