Anyone dimming T-5's?

I'm getting ready to setup a 20L tank and want to use my 175w MH and a couple of actinic T-5's for supplementation. To add a cool effect to the tank and a little more realizim I want to add a Solar 1000 timer/dimmer to the T-5's so I can dim them on and off (dawn/dusk).

So has anyone done this? I know you can do it w/ an IC ballast and VHO's but is anyone doing it w/ an IC ballast and T-5's?

I would be interested in this too. I asked this same question once before in this section, and someone replied T5's couldn't be dimmed.

Interesting. I would think that since they are similar to T-12's they would. I have heard someone say that they won't dim all the way down, but that's about it.

If this won't work I have not problem using T-12's. I just wanted to be "current".
