Title kind of says it all. I know some more pricey salts these days say they contain probiotics and that they do this or that, but is anyone actually dosing like probiotics from a store into their tank? Besides me.
I shall read further. I know it seems my tank is much more active. Good bacterium can probably play a ton of helpful roles. It's just a matter of which bacteria in which situation. I'm by no means recommending people do it lol but this tank looks freakishly good. I've been dropping Super Multidophulus from Solar Ray in it. Could just be waiting to have a meltdow, the tank that is.
Would a bacteria species that is adapted to live in the human gut survive in a reef aquarium? And if so would it provide any benefit to the critters living in the tank beyond providing bacteria-eaters with more food?
