As the subject asks. Have any of you tried dosing sugar using an autofeeder?

I was thinking if I set it correctly I would just have to fill it once a week or so. Might be less work than vodka.

Sugar + humidity could be sticky I've never used an autofeeder but I assume they are of the cheaper sort. You might do better dosing liquids.

Many of the autofeeders are designed to prevent the humidity problems but it is a concern. If it needs to be refilled once a week, I do not know how much clumping will actually happen.

I've been dosing carbon for about 15months. I now dose vinegar 60ml and vodka 24 daily for 550 gallons with good results( no ill effects and low nutrients). During the past year I tried a small amount( only 1/4 tsp ) of sugar twice. My anemone an entamacea quadricaolor, scolymia and lobophylia reacted badly exhibiting darkening closing and recission. Personally I will not use sugar wether fructose sucrose or glucose again. Be careful and observant if you choose to do so.
