Anyone else get their WP-40?

My fiance drives around for her sales job, so she was able to stop by yesterday and pick it up from the Aquarius. I almost burned our steaks on the grill last night playing with the controller and all the functions!
Man this thing pushes some water! I have a standard 75g, so 4 ft tank and only 18 inches deep. I placed it in the front corner aimed across the tank. Took me a couple minutes to realize that the 'lock' function lowered the overall power of the pump. So on S1 it is at 100% and I had trouble turning up the knob without spilling water all over. I pushed the lock button twice to set it to S3 which is about 50% power overall. So even as I turn the knob up to change speeds, it doesnt go to 100% (at least I think) The wave function works pretty well (W1), it was nice to see the corals moving back and forth in a more natural manner, and see the hair algae getting blasted to a point that I hope it continues to disappear!
We had plans to visit a couple who recently had a baby so I didn't get a lot of time to play and I didnt want to set it too high before leaving. When the lights went off the light sensor makes the pump go into a constant slow speed which I thought was cool.
Just thought I'd post and see what other people think about it! Hopefully I'll give a better update after playing around for the weekend. I'd like to see how the random functions work. Think Im going to buy a pack of beer and push the chair in front of the tank! At this point totally worth the money!

I got mine hooked up in a 75g as well. It seemed the dial on the controller works the opposite way you'd expect it too. When turned all the way counter clockwise I get the biggest wave so to me that seems like 100%. I have mine set up on W1/S2 with the dial a little less than half way and I'm loving it. I think the fish are too.

Really?? That's strange, mine does the shortest pulses all the way counter clock wise which give a smaller wave.
I have mine on W1/S3 and a little more than halfway up on the dial.

Ya it is strange lol but I found the best setting for my tank so I'm happy. Replaced 4 koralias with this thing.

Depending on your setting but on W1 mode:
The dial is the frequency of the waves. As your turn right the wave delay is increased and left it decreases.

On S1, s2, S3 is the "speed" or the intensity of the waves. S1 is at 100%, S2 is 75%, and S3 is 50%.

I pick up my wp40 today at Aquarius after owning a wp40 four month. I can't wait to try out the new controller and thank macboat and Carlos

WP25, even at lowest speed and lowest frequency is just too much for my tank. Creates whirlpool at other end of tank, and kicks up the top of my 2mm grain sand bed.

Yes and especially a huge thank you to Mac for running this, I was worried you may not have been on here since the other thread was closed. The whole process was super easy, great job!

Thanks again Mac! I'm loving these things.. my ORP dropped 120, i'm guessing from the organics the pumps pulled back up into the water!

Yep. I am glad it went to you smoothly.

Its your fault having a small tank, not WP25's fault! :debi: Kidding. I have the same issue in my 34G cube at first now its all good.
