From what i have read croceas live in shallow water in the wild... Natural sun light is around 6000 K so they probably like those bulbs a lot. However , i am sure plenty of people have healthy croceas under 20 k halides...
Ask the grimreefer about the par output. He has done much testing.
As stated before in the thread... the clam will not bore through the glass... It can desolve calicum substrate and rock not glass. Obviously it's shell cannot physical bore through the glass if that's what you are asking....
I am sure if left anywhere long enough it will attach there... glass or rock. Most people have them attach to a piece of rock, whether in the sand bed or not, so they can move the clam without stressing it if needs be.
