Has anyone ever heard of Stylaster coral? Here is a picture.

:( no. I tried both several times a few years back while working on the wholesale side of the trade but had poor luck. I tried dripping phyto, BBS, CE and some other stuff and still couldn't keep either of them for that long. However with the feeds produced today by various companies, along with new flow devices, I think it should be possible. I suspect they eat much smaller stuff then most NPS corals, like bacterioplankton or zooplankton larvae. saying that, I have not done any research on what they feed upon. Time to hit the books and papers to see what is out there :)
