Anyone ever heard of this???

LFS told me that false percula will and DO host the long tenticle anemone...i have the oppurtunity to get one for free and have 2 perculas...but i doubt they will host that species..anyone heard of this or is the LFS full of #@$%...thanks derick

Nothing is unheard of. I have observed the same species adopt Condylactis, haddon's carpet, LTA, BTA, and even plastic anemones. Yours may or may not decide to accept this particular anemone.

At one time I had a maroon clownfish that made a Condylactis its home.

If thatââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s the only anemone available why not. No anemone they may pick your hammer coral or your colt coral etc.

Clowns can and will host whatever they want! They can sometimes be picky or you can end up buying one like the one I had that took to my powerhead and gotr sucked in overnight!

very possible.....the real question is how long will it take for he false perc to host anything at all. Some dont ever host anyting at all......some just take awhile

clowns live where they want. Had quite a few that chose to live in condy's and haitian anemone. Breeders use zip tie anemones. Put it in your tank and I bet you a 5 dollars it will host.

Until I got my bulb tip anemone my maroon clown used to host inside an LPS bubble coral. I got scared thinking he was being eaten the first time I saw him in the center of it.

Well, mine have done it all.

They host my:

New magnifica anemone
Seio powerhead(s)
Frogspawn
Zoos
Feather Duster

They like to sample a little bit of everything. lol.. plus they have hosted in previous BTA's. Clowns are strange ones.

The Mag Float thing is true. Mine sleeps above it every night & when I clean the glass he chases the Magfloat.
