i was looking for a way to heat the water in my mixing station and found this.

My way is pretty high tech. Pump it through a DC circulation pump. My Iwaki heats it up just fine. May not match exactly the 80 in my tank, but close enough so i dont need to run a heater.

i have a big pan world im not sure how much heat it will provide. just came upon this and thought it looked pretty neat.

I don't heat my water before I add it. I figure with 400+ gallons of volume it doesn't make a huge difference in temp when I add 50 gallons of unheated water. So far is hasnt.

yeah i guess it isnt that important im going to set it up to change aroud 3 gal a day

Water changes are over rated. With proper biological filtration and a couple reactors you can limit water changes to once every other month. I just got 3 marinepure 8x8x4 blocks a few weeks back. After a few months I plan on getting rid of 90% of the rock it will make for cleaning the sump of detritus so much easier. Plus 3 marinepure blocks > 300 lbs of rock
