150w LED Fixture

150w LED Fixture. 50/50 blue to white ratio with two violet and two red diodes. 119 3w led's driven to 1.26w. Fixture is 16x9x3" in size and covers a 30x24" area at 8" above the tank. Par #'s tested in water are the following. 6" is 1479, 12" is 878, 18" is 553, 24" is 392, 30" is 210. As strong as a 400w mh so BE CAREFUL when acclimating. 3yr manufacturer warranty. Two powercords, 1 for two outside panels and one for middle panel. Outside is your dusk/dawn actinic look and inside is daylight look. All panels on is a 18-20k look. Do not look directly at the led's when on as they are blinding bright. Each fixture comes with three built in fans. Black or white finish. If you do not care don't mark anything in the comments box. All orders will match so if you order 2+ they will be the same color finish.

There are multiple fixtures like this floating around the web. This one looks just like the fixture at ledwholesalers and evolution led light.

Both of those fixtures are rated at 120w and are quite a bit cheaper. I am ready to pull the trigger on one of these as well but was interested if anyone has one and can confirm if they are a good fixture or not.

Just concerning because they all look the same and have the same number of leds just get different information and wattage ratings on them.

Something just doesn't seem right about that fixture. I personally wouldn't chance it, but if you go for it, please post your results. It would be interesting to see.

BTW - the DIY fixture I am planning to build will use that many LED's to light the entire 180G tank. That is what makes me doubtful these are very good. Not to mention I do not see any way to add optics, which means they will have to be mounted close to the water to get enough light down to the bottom of your tank.

Someone in our club ordered one so I am letting him guinea pig it before I do anything...I like the Maxispects but now they are really pricey

Well keep us posted. I would love to hear how he likes it and see some pictures.

I will - I just did PAR testing on my T5's and needless to say I hope this fixture does what it says it will do!!

The body may be the same but the RF is a different fixture as the emitters are a beefier higher wattage .
