Anyone familiar with signs of sexual reproduction of E.quads?

Like the title states... I'm only familiar with the aftermath of the spawning of E.quads( and let me tell you it is no picnic) but would like to know if there are signs( visual) that could tell if the animal is poised to release eggs/sperm( in my case it is sperm as all mine are males, so you can see why I am having this enxieties ). I took a picture of one of my clones and it seems that there are sperm packets in the tentacles and other areas, unless I am going crazy and it;s all jus an imagination of my tired brain.
Here's the image to help illustrate what I am talking about.

And here's an image to help you understand why I am worried a bit if I have to start cleaning up in the middle of the night.

So if someone has experience with this, please let me know what you think about the first image and a possibility of the spawning event coming...

I don't want to hijack this thread....but if you ever want to part with one of those let me know. I'd drive to NJ for a tank raised RBTA, seems all I'm finding around here are WCs.

Good gawd Gene! I always am amazed when I see your rose anemone tank. I thought I was bad keeping a lot in a small tank. Heheheh.

Those sure do look like gametes.

I haven't experienced anything like that yet, but I would just have carbon handy, water all mixed and ready to go.

Hmmm, let see how to best answer this question. I went through spawning event with this anemones in 2005 and there was no eggs released. Since all those anemones are actually the same animal that makes it a male. Unless my logic is flawed, of course.

I always have plenty of carbon, buying in bulk is much cheaper and I am cheap... :lol: Seriously though, I hope this creatures stick with asexual method of reproduction and leave me in peace.
There are about 50 anemones in there and I was so tired the last time, cleaning after seven or nine of them...

With that quantity you may have a problem. By themselves, a spawning male is rarely a problem (females, even single ones, are FAR worse). I have noticed that the anemones will often have bloated tentacles and abnormal extension prior to a spawning event. Right before it, they will curl up and seem to trumpet outward. The latter is primarily in females. Males seem to contract and exude their gametes instead of swelling, IME.
