I was looking a way to feed Roti-Feast (or any other quality frozen coral foods like Oyster Feast) continuously through out the day like 2ml every 3 hours or so. I came across uhuru's excellent NPS tank and a few of them basically purchase a small fridge (cause like $56) and a regular BRS dosing pump. They drill a few small holes in the fridge, stick a bottle of Roti-Feast into it and basically just program the dosing pump every 3 hours for a few minutes. The fridge cause almost nothing and runs cheaper than a regular light bulb. I was astonishing the success our NPS friends had. The detail of this method can be found here. Forward to page 4 is you are not interested in the original design.
I could only imagine what our SPS would do with continuous feeding like this in nature. Our NPS friends' tanks aren't really that different than ours and if they can manage to keep N & P low with a regular carbon & GFS reactor, water change and skimmer, we can certainly do the same.
Has anyone tried this? I am pretty sure I am going to start working on this soon especially the fridge only cause like $60 from Walmart.
