Anyone going to DS's grand re-opening this Saturday?

Im probably going to try to be there right at 10am for a free shirt =P and hang out for the deals and pizza, really just want to see the new place, sounds like it will be really nice.

I work this Saturday, and am sad to see Chris leave Phoenix.

I've often lamented the dearth of good Reef - friendly shops in my area, and now there's one less.

Please let me know what the new shop is like, although I doubt I'll get out there very often.

Yah i know the feeling being a far west sider, We have SWJ now but it is a different kind of store. Im going this weekend just for the opening but the distance will definitely make it a less frequent stop for me, maybe just after auctions and meetings.

His fish and coral systems have more than doubled in size from what he has posted. Looking forward to it and will try to snap a few pictures to post for those who cant make it.

I remembered before I lived in AZ my brother took me to an LFS when I came to visit him and could've swore it was in the same location. I thought it looked familiar.

Do they still have the used equipment section? Their facebook has nothing in that album and I'm hoping he didn't decide to get rid of that part of the business.

Yes they do, the new store is smaller than when they were on the west side

yes, the used equip section looks like it will be smaller, its at the front of the store right now and not really unpacked but I picked up a sea clear tank today for a good deal, and a little tailspot blenny who's chillin in qt right now.

Store still needs some finishing touches but I like the overall layout and new fish/coral systems.

Seemed to go well, I was there for about an hour and saw a lot of fish going out the door as well as dry goods. coral selection did have a few gems in each section and overall better layout IMO.
