Anyone good with computers? Sorry not reef related

I have a computer problem that is probably a simple solution. I recently bought an iPod Touch but can't seem to get the new iTunes on my Dell Inspiron laptop. The error I keep getting is that the ISScript.msi is not up to date. The problem is that all the advice online that I have tried doesn't seem to work. I basicly have an expensive paper weight until I can get this problem solved. I am tempted to get rid of this stupid Windows machine and go with an Apple. Can anyone help?

Have you gone through this? From the sounds of it, you got something corrupted in your reg and your going to have to manually fix it.

Just out of curiousity did they tell you what they did?

Did it have vista? If so it would have been an easy fix. You would have had to go to the microsoft site and get the patches that come out for it.
