Hey Guys,
I need to borrow a Diamond hole saw for a 1" bulkhead fitting. does anyone out there have one I can borrow? I just need to pop 2 holes for a quick change system i'm working on. I really dont want to buy one just for 2 holes. I'll pay for ups both ways if needed. let me know as it would really help me out. thanks,

Will

I see they are really cheap on ebay. does anyone know the standard conversion over to metric if i have a 1" bulkhead into millimeters?

i thought they were more expensivethan 10 dollars. i just ordered one from ebay. i got the big bulkhead fittings from urban farmer. i called them and they said the hole is 2". i used the inch to metric conversion chart. i order a 50mm hole saw. is that correct? thanks for the offer. i dont forget things like that.

holycrap, that is some heavy duty bulbhead.. Most of them you only have to drill 1.5" or 1.75" hole.

Oh yeah, if you get the diamond drill bit here, it will cost you a lot. I got mine from Ebay too. I bought 4-5 of them because the shipping doesn't much more.

the cheap ones you see on ebay are most likely the cheaper (no on flame me please) chinese imports that have very little diamond dust on them, and as such won't last as long. But that being said as long as you get your hole cut usually you don't need them to last terribly long.

You can drill at least 20 holes with those bits. For $10, I don't mind if it stop working after 10 holes. That is like $1 a hole :D

I have one of the chinese ebay one's, they work fine. Yea you can't drill like 100 holes with it, but if you only need to drill a few, they work fine. I drilled two holes in my 90, and I'm about to drill another hole in a 20g sump (if I can find the fricking things after our move) with these chinese hole saws. BTW, be prepared to wait when you order them though. Took almost three weeks when I ordered mine, not a quick trip.

Can you post a link of the hole saw on ebay or post a link on how it looks like. I'd like to see if I can drill my 20g for an external return pump.

Here ....

:)

Man, Elite - you sure are efficient providing us with the link to the conversion chart and with the hole saw.

So, for a 1 inch bulk head I will need a 1.75 inch hole converted to mm, I would need a 44.45 mm drilled.

I can use the 45mm, from Treasure HK Ltd, to make that hole.

thanks Elite - U da man.:smokin:
