I am interested in a LM3 with 2 external pumps if anyone has a used one around they don't need. If you have a suggestion for a better product instead, let me know!

thanks!

Dosing yes, and running my ca reactor. where is more info on the GHL one? Flow rates etc? I actually would like to have the 4 pump variety anyways.

Progressive reef sells them:

If you don't have a profilux controller you will want the stand alone unit.

Here is a decent description:

GHL Profilux Sponsor forum is great for questions:

I've owned a RKE and once I saw how much better Profilux was I sold it and bought a basic P2 off the used equipment forum. Modules are more expensive but the quality is second to none and extremely reliable.
I figure I'll gradually expand my system over time to add auto top off, etc...
Since there is going to be a group buy I figured it is a perfect time to buy the doser. I'm going to try out dosing vodka so it is good timing.

I don't know that the group buy thingy will work from the sounds of it...I too am not excited to hand over $600 to someone I don't know and hope to get a doser eventually. I also don't want to wait a month or two...So if it happens quick and I can pay progressive directly, then I'm probably in.

I think it will work well. AQD_ottawa will be running it, he is the GHL Profilux sponsor representative on RC.
See post 12, 15 on the thread you posted to:

Payments and shipping will be direct through progressive reef, and a shipping deposit of $24 will be required.
I pm'ed him a while back and explained the difficulty of shipping all units to one person. I strongly urged him to reconsider separate shipping, and payment methods because of the price of these units. I think he, and progressive realize they will have much better luck if they conduct the group buy similar to bulk reef supply.

He said more details will follow on Tuesday. It seems there is a fairly good amount of buzz on the forum, but I don't know how long it will take for the buy time period.

I've never owned a litermeter but IMO getting the profilux would be worth the wait. When you are buying expensive equipment you will have for 5+ years, you should get the equipment built with quality, reliability, and features. The profilux standalone comes with it's own built in controller for the unit, and I would bet money that it has more features and is better built than the litermeter. Also the stand alone has capability to add a slave unit to it so you could potentially add up to 8 pumps if you need to expand later.

That is just my opinion, and I do understand if you are not willing to wait.
