Anyone have a link that shows harmful hitchhikers?

I was just looking at my tank and there was what looked like some kind of snail maybe on the glass. I removed it and put in a bottle top to try and get a pic but couldnt get a clear one. It looks like....cant think of the name, one of them grey bugs that when you would touch them they would roll up like a BB. Rolly Polly? Its shaped like that and is a white/tan color with black spots. Any clue what this might be? Bad or ok? Should I flush it?

Isn't rolly polly the scientific name? :lol: what we always called them anyways! You are describbing a chin...Oh it just flew out of my head! Chinton maybe. They are algae grazers that come out mostly at night. I am sure someone will have the right name! Should be OK from what you described though.

you are referring to a chitton, and yes chittons are fine. They are also good food for dragonets. Mine clean the snail shells, lol.

that last pic is exactly what mine looked like. Glad I asked and got a quick reply before tossing it.
