Anyone have a picture of Pyramid Snails? Treatments?

The Pyram snails that feed on clams... do they feed on other things as well. I'm asking in hopes that by removing the clams from one tank will cause the snails to end up starving out.

I had some clams in my tanks a long while ago and I've noticed some snails that look like the ones pictured just reciently. Could they be hanging on that long or do they have another food source?

Thanks for the clarity.

So, removing any clams or bivalves from the display you can starve these snails out? Does anyone know how long this may take?

if they only feed on clams.some will feed on snails also.if you remove there food source, whatever that may be then they will starve. it could take a month or it could take 3 or 4 months.

if you have clams and snails that arent being preyed upon by them then they may be harmless, and i wouldn't worry about them.

I also found one next to my 2-week crocea. it was about 1 inch away from it on the rock so i reached in to try to grab it but having big fingersI just about lost it in a crack so I did what any loving hobyist would do...I mashed the crack.! Since this crocea is a new addition in my display and suddenly I see a snail which resembles this parasitic vulture should I assume there is a problem? His threads are already adhered to the rock , seems very healthy so far (expanding/eating ect) but I cant see the whole clam, and I havent seen anymore for like 2 days now....help
