i know i can buy them online and what not, but i have my unit coming tomorrow and i have to do a water change asap so i need to hook it up asap, and i dont want to wait for and adapter to come online. was wondering if anyoen has one i can buy from them.

ok well i was there and i saw some stuff that looked like it would work but it looks like i can only use my faucet if i take it off. the ones i saw at marine depot are like a spliter or diverter. im open to suggestions though so if you guys have something that you got from home depot mind sharing details and maybe a pic or something?

If you have access to your washer machine cold water fitting, this is what I did, was easy. I got a hose Tee from the garden center. In the plumbing section I got the hose fitting to small piping adaptor, but the trick is that you need to use a nylon crush insert, and NOT the metal insert in the fitting. Hope I'm making sense. Then all I did was run my waste line down the drain line.

no hose attactchment possibility here. i live in a condo, no hose receptacle. on self tapping kit, which the ro comes with but i dont really wanna use that, or a faucet adapter which i prefer.

i also just looked at my faucets and i see that my faucets have the threads on the inside. most adapters i saw at home depot had the threads on the inside so that wouldnt work for me. i would need an additional adapter for the adapter.

just get a quick connect in the plumbing section of HD part attaches to a bathroom or kitchen faucet and can stay there, there disconnect you attach to the ro using a fitting shown in the pick above in marcleft's post. the quick connect cost about $5-10 buck. this is what i used when i lived in apartments. i still have it somewhere and would give it to you but its probably not worth the drive.

well what he has in the pic is the attatchment for the hose outlet. how would i get that to connect to my faucet? first of all my fauce has the threads on the inside not on the outside, second of all its alot smaller than a regular hose outlet.

ohh ok, thanks. ill try to find it. maybe i should try lowes cuz home depot didnt really have anything. unless i just didnt know what iwas looking for.

there is an adapter that look like the one in my second post , but one part screws into the sick, then it has the quick connect then the other side(second piece) is the same as a garden hose fitting.
the fittng i was talking about in his pic was the brass one.

i got mine at home depot. it was buy the sinks. just ask one of the guys there for a sink to garden hose adapter with a quick connect. they should know where to find it.
