Anyone have an extra phosban reactor they want to sell?

I think I want to run one on both of my tanks and maybe have an extra one I can use for carbon ever once in a while. Before I bought a new one I though I would see if maybe someone had an old one laying around they didn't need. If not then I will order one. Thanks for looking.

You guys should talk to Troy first. He can order an off brand fluidized reactor, which is 4" in diameter and will hold more media, which in turn will last longer and keep you from having to change it so often, and you can run water through it faster and accomplish more quicker. Just a thought.

i think im going to set mine up to fill from one of my drains on the tank so i dont have to run a pump on it. anyone see a problem with this? basically all a phosphate reactor of any brand consists of is a box with an inlet on the bottom and an outlet on the top. you could theoretically make it out of a tupperware box or somethign.

Phosban reactors use a tiny pump, and very little flow. You could feed a phosban reactor from a drain provided you have a valve to control flow, but it would be better just to run a tiny pump. A tupperware box would be difficult to get the media to fluidize properly, and hard to see whats going on in there..

I agree, the reason I suggested Troy is because, by the time you spent money to make it, it would have just been easier to buy it all together. Acrylic is expensive, and you really need to see inside the reactor so that everything is 'dancing' on top and not getting mixed up in the tank. Just my 2cents. Good luck if you build one, hope it works out, and it would be neat to see.

I sent a message over the Troy. I told him how many people we interested. I am still waiting for a response.

Anyone hear from Troy? I need one real bad......I have an itch that needs scratched......Come on Troy hook a brother up. Daddy needs a new Phosban Reactor....lol

Troy said he could order some. The price was between $60 and $70 if I remember right. You could either get the 3 inch or 4 inch. I am also still in the market. $60-$70 isn't bad but then you still have to get a pump? Anyone else have an idea?
