Matter of fact, if you give pratter a call, he is in Panama city tonight, and on his way to okc, i bet he could bring you all you need. I haven't been up around that area yet, but all of the gulf coast sand that i have seen is all pretty white, and is good sand.

I need this for an external DSB so I want to go with stuff I know to be good. The pavestone brand is still much of an unknown quantity.

I bought 2 bags and have 2 tanks using it and it seems to be OK but a little too fine for my taste.

I've got it in my new 10 gal nano. It isn't too bad, very dusty to start.

My bad had a bit more black specs in it than other bags, but it seems that my particle size is much larger than most other aragonite based sand. I dropped in a few cupfuls of my sand from my main tank, and you can really tell how much larger the particle size is compared to that.

But, for the price vs. the look, I don't mind it.

I love the stuff. I am using some in my 47g tank in dallas. Yes, it is EXTREMELY dusty. I mean, I washed the stuff thoroughly and STILL had a major dust storm. Of course, I wasn't smart enough to get the stuff filtered out very quickly.

Anyways, you'd never known I'd use "cheap substitute" sand from the look. I will likely use it quite often...

hey paul, can you get pavestone here in ardmore?? lowe's dont have anything that i need. i cant even find dowflake around here!
im about to go bigger and want to start a good sand bed and let it seed for a while with some out of my 105. ohh yeah is sand a whole lot better than crushed coral? whats the long term differences?
