I am considering getting one of these at some point in hopes of my clowns hosting it. I have heard that they are one of the tougher types to keep so I was hoping to hear others experience with them to make sure that I am not wating my time/money trying. Thanks
I had one for a brief period of time -- while I can't prove it, I believe that I lost it because I fed it a silverside, was fine right before I fed it, the next day was dead.
Anyways, for the time it was fairly easy, stayed in the sand, right where at the rock/sand interface. Not sure if they are harder to keep than any other anemone, but they are harder to come by, so that might make them seem harder to keep -- since they aren't common people might purchase one that isn't completely healthy.
This is my second actually. My first I had for about 8 months. I sold it to Davo here on RC. This current one, I have had for about two months. I got it from a local LFS called AQUASD here in San Diego. He took it on trade from a local reefer who had it for about 18 months.
This is the only picture I have of it at this point. It was taken the day after I put it in the tank...
