Anyone have experience with Sicce pumps?

I'm looking at the new Syncra HF 16.0. Impressive flow for a submersible pump. I just don't know much about them. Please weigh in with positive or negative feedback or reviews.

This pump should give me about 4 X turnover through my sump.

Yes and they have been around for a long time and produce motor blocks for several companies. I have a few of them and they have performed flawlessly for years.

Best pump makers of commonly available brands:

1: Tied between Sicce (Tunze), Reef Octopus, & Eheim
2: Cobalt Aquatics
3: Rio
4: Everyone Else

The Mag Drive pumps look cool but they really don't seem reliable from everything I've read.

I use them heavily to power reactors and to move water from WC tanks and such. Love them. Very reliable, very quiet. My girlfriend uses one as the return on her 65, and it performs flawlessly.

FYI - taam is the manufacturer and 'rio' is a line of pumps.

I have used taam rio and sicce pumps without issues.

I have/ had two sicce pumps running returns on two tanks. 3.5 on a 40b, and 4.0 on a 125. The 3.5 is very quiet and the 4.0 can be heard from anywhere in my house. I have done everything I can think of to quiet the 4.0 with no luck. Both pumps have been running for more than a year with no issues at all.

Last month I replaced the 3.5 with a waveline 5000dc. Not because there was a problrm but because i wanted to run a manifold and reactors from it. The really interesting thing to me is even though the waveline is much bigger and more amps/flow there was a full 1 degree drop in tank temp from the sicce to the waveline.

Take my experience for what it is worth as i have none with the pump you're looking at. I have since ordered the new waveline 12000 for the 125.
