anyone have knowledge with Helios 250W 20K hqi bulbs? and montis?

i have been running these on my tank now for a while and they seem to do great...

ive heard they have a high par value and was wondering if this is true?

i run them on a PFO mini pendant and PFO hqi ballast these things are a bright white crisp blue color

anyways i ask becuase all my montis seem to fry under these lights...

i think i narrowed my monti prob down to the lights cuz all would slowly turn white and die away but today i found a frag of a superman monti i was trying to save that fell behind some rockwork in a crevase about 7-10 days ago with barely any light

i pulled out the frag and amazingly it had some light blue coral color with red polyps while all the others slowly turned white and faded away

does this sound like a light prob? too much light?

all my water checks fine

... yeah im hearing they have really high PAR values upwards of 130 on a PFO ballast whatever that means

I would enjoy tank pics with them buring above...always wanted to see the color of these bulbs...

here i will show a pic of my tank right now with the lights

now mind u my tank isnt fully acroed out yet but its on its way only been up for 4 months after converting from my 100g tank

im guna add anotehr pendant over the center next week but im affraid im guna burn things up cuz the montis sure didnt like the light at all!

as for sps right now i have a red milli a few blue milli frags that are doing awesome.. some green myagi tort possibly, a yellow unknown wild acro, large browned out wild acro, and a valida all of those have done well except for the large browned out acro and my millis

i couldnt keep a milli for the life of my i always tried to keep the in the light but now i found this frag thats been missing for over a week and its still got its blue tint and red polyps while all my other montis i had high up died away after bleaching ... everything from encrusting to digiata to caps all died away

my water seems perfect

wow that does look realy bright. Do you have a picuure without attinics on. I want to also try these bubls but are hard to find.

no i dont have a pic right now without the PC lights...

the PC lights dont add much they are 260W of mixed daylight and actinic and the bulbs are like over a year old lol so the helios do a good job
