Excuse my ignorance, but what Kind of lighting is required for Monti's?
I have the stock lighting on my AP 24 (soon to be 96w T5)

I kept M. Digitata and M. Capricornis in my 24g nanocube for a number of years sucessfully with no problems under the stock 2x36w PC bulbs. They didn't color up very nicely like they will under more light, but they survived and actually grew a surprising amount for a tank that wasn't getting any sort of calcium or alkalinity dosing.
I've heard of that working, but not commonly. The best rule of thumb is to use T5s or MH. You could do it with ton of VHO bulbs or PC bulbs, but then you might as well shell out the cash for brighter two systems and have better color/growth. I realize that doesn't really apply to your AIO system. I was just tossing it out so someone doesn't get the bright idea to put a monti under 72w of PC lighting in a 90g and wonder why they die off.

My monti grew like wildfire under 175w MH with actinic T5s. I did dose Ca++ and Alk. I noticed a big difference in growth in all corals when I made the transition to bi-weekly dosing.
I may seek out some of you guys volunteering your montis for sale in a week or 2. I'm about ready to add some variety back to my 33g after the crash a month or so ago. I'm finally confident in in the water's stability again. I just need to budget in a few extra bucks.

Just messin' with you... I am a MH user that is making the change... Obama convinced me I need to be more energy efficient... Yeah, right.
