it's a small add on for canister filter...

Actually its an add-on made for HOB filters. I'd say they are about 7-8" high with-out the black flow control in place. In order for these to run with-out an annoying gurgling sound you will need to modify it.

There is a good chance if it's too tall you will be able to cut it down to fit. If it's too tall, I'm guessing it won't be by much.
