Anyone house an Annularis Angel?

Would adding an Annularis Angel into the mix in my new tank be ok? I really like the look of the fish but I have not met anyone who has one.

The list of fish for new tank (250) would be:
Blue Face Angel
Blue Angel
Emp. Angel
Clown Trigger
Picasso Trigger
Niger Trigger
Unicorn Tang
Vlamingi Tang
Yellow Tang
*Annularis Angel*

What do you think?

I have all the fish except for the emp., vlamingi and annularis.

Any pics of someones' Annularis in tank?

Thanks

Yes, I have one with multiple other angels.
Just watch for potential aggression from the blue angel. To be safe, you can move the blue to another tank temporarily, re-arrange the rockwork, introduce the annularis, then after a week re-introduce the blue.
Also watch how the clown trigger reacts.

That's some big, aggressive fish - and heavy stocking - for a 240. Some of those fish will outgrow a 240, and some are just too much aggression and bioload, when combined, for the tank.

I know you just asked about adding the annularis, so if you don't want any advice beyond that, skip my post. :)

There are tanks the size of yours with a large number of aggressive fish. But even danorth's tank (which is a success, and an exception) is not as heavily stocked as your list.

Here's a list (from your list) of what I'd keep in that tank and what I'd eliminate.

Angels - I don't think I'd keep more than three in this tank.

-Blue Face Angel - keep (but they do get big)
-Emp. Angel - keep (they get big)
-Annularis - keep (not the most aggressive, okay size)
-Blue Angel - no - too many angels, large size, potential aggression (Holocanthus is the most aggressive genus)

Triggers - substitute smaller/less aggressive, limit to two
Clown Trigger - no - too likely to get aggressive and outgrow tank
Picasso Trigger - fine
Niger Trigger - may be okay, but gets really big

Tangs - the unicorn and vlamingi tangs you selected get way too big, choose some other tangs, limit to no more than three, try different genera.
-Unicorn Tang - no
-Vlamingi Tang - no
-Yellow Tang - OK size, nice coor, not one of my favorite tangs

EDIT: I just noticed another post of yours and see you already have many of these fish. I'd avoid adding the annularis based on the stocking you have already. I think you probably are going to have continuing aggression challenges with the fish you have, even in the bigger tank. I'd just get the fish you have into the 240, and let things settle down before adding any more. JMO.

Thanks for your reply. I can skip the Annularis since it was just a thought. I am not worried about my fish out growing my tank since I will eventually do a bigger tank (1000 or bigger) in a few years.

For now the new 250 will be their home.

Any other tangs you might recommend instead of the Vlamingi? What about a Sohal? I know they are aggressive though.

Thanks

If you are going to do a significant upgrade within a few years, you may be okay with the vlamingi. I understand they grow fast, though. What about subadult pair of Naso tangs? They are in the same genus, but don't get quite so big, and they are really showy. For home aquariums, even big ones, I think Naso lituratus is just about the only suitable species in the genus Naso.

I don't think I'd get a Sohal, but they are gorgeous fish.

There are so many great tangs. Even if you get a big tank in the future, I'd still limit myself to tangs that don't get over 18 inches maximum size, and that aren't on the extreme side for aggression.

I think hippo tangs are a great choice...

There are many other good tangs, wetwebmedia.com is one good resource for species research.
