Quick question. I work for a school and we have numerous fish tanks (including one nearly 300 gallon saltwater tank which used to have coral and fish but has now been turned into a fish only tank). All ot the other tanks are freshwater.
These tanks are maintained by our teachers - alas, some of them have not done a great job doing so, especially over the summer. I have one of our new science teahcers getting the big saltwater tank back in shape but the teahcers overseeing a couple of the freshwater tanks need some more help.
We have 2 large (I am thinking approx a 75 gallon and a 55 gallon) tanks that need cleaned. The 75 gallon was partially cleaned at the start of this year but probably could use a good gravel suction cleaning and a partial water change. The 55 gallon has been running pretty much on its own with no one touching it for a couple of years and thus really needs completely emptied, cleaned and restarted (suprising there are a couple guppies and I am told a catfish still living in it even though no one has fed them in who knows how long). Anyway, one of our teachers would like to get this tank up and running again and will maintain it once it is - but they don't have the know how to start it up again. We have pretty much all the supplies needed. i really just need someone interested to do this
Before they go out and hire someone to come in to clean these couple freshwater tanks and get the one restarted, I wanted to see if anyone here - if you are temporarily out of work or have a lot of free time - wanted to stop in a day and take this task on. We would pay you for doing so.
