Anyone interested in setting up a BIG tank? :)

Howdy doo oldies... and too all the new members!

How long has it been since I've been around? :)

Our son just turned one and life has been BUSY as hell.

I never pushed hard to sell this monster tank, but it has been sitting in the garage for a LONG time now. With the upcoming 'indoor' season coming up (i.e. winter), setting up a BIG tank can be GREAT FUN! :D

For those of you who have never seen this thing, it's 8 long, 4 tall, 2 deep totaling 500 gallons. There is tons of misc PVC piping and fittings. Complete pump and lights set will come with it. As it sits it will make a GREAT FO tank! I also have two 120 gallons that I planned to turn into sumps, etc... those will also go with it.

I remember seein' this tank when I went to get the live rock from the guy doin' the part out. That was over 2 years ago. Time flies...

Yea, when I first seen the tank...my thought was you'd need Yao Ming to help with the aquascaping. It's a deep tank. But would be sweet setup. Hopefully someone will buy it and get it goin'...

Offers over 2k... Would you take $2000.01? How long has it been dry? Is the silicone still good if its glass...
 
I wanna say its an acrylic tank. I don't think it was glass. been too long ago to remember...

ya i think I ended up with his 240 that went on the sale along with a lot of other stuff from another person it is funny how things just move around.
 
I also remember lucent...was his name Howard? Said that Chris Brown (Titans running back) bought one of his setups too at that time.

Bingo... you guys know this tank! :D

It's acrylic and during a brief visual inspection a few weeks ago, looked to be in great order. As when I bought it, it needs a bit of polishing... (what acrylic doesn').

Otherwise in as great a shape as it was when I bought it from lucent!

Would I entertain $2000.01... Yes :)
 
I saw that tank at Howards when he was moving. It would make a great FO or FOWLR setup!

I think Chris Brown bought his 180....came to pick it up in a Miata if I remember correctly:lol:

Yea Chris, you are right. Thats funny because it seems a 180 is bigger than a Miata. I remember lucent sayin' that. Wonder if he actually strapped it to the Miata. Would've been funny seein' that go down the road.

I would have just loved seeing Chris Brown crammed into a Miata lol. That is the last car I would have thought he would be driving.. and to show up to get a 180 in it lol!
