Anyone know a good electrician in the area?

I am looking to get an electrician to come in and add a seperate breaker or two on for my tank. Probably well overdue. But if anyone knows someone who has done setups for reef aquariums let me know. By the way my name is Ben and I just stumbled on this Delaware Reef Club. Nice to know of some locals in the hobby.
I have a 110 gallon tank w/ 90 gallon sump. 2- 400 watt MH's w/ 2- 110 watt VHO actinics, Skimmer w/ two pumps, return pump, Heater, Wavemaker w/ 4 mj1200's, fan for ballast. I also have an aquacontroller jr, which I have never had luck getting up and going (very expensive thermometer right now), also have a chiller, but not currently running due to power issues.

Thanks for any advice or referals,
Ben

Hi Ben, welcome to the Delaware Reef Club forum. you should drop by a meeting sometime. We are always looking for new members. sounds like a nice set up.

Your question comes up pretty often. Several others here on the club forum have just recently dealt with the same problem. hopefully they can add some info here for you.

Meetings get posted here on the club website. we have been meeting at Newark library, 3rd monday of the month. but there's a little conflict with tax seminars this time of year for the room.

its also a quick link back here to the forum. last month we had a couple open house tank tours instead.

Thorn in odessa was very professional, but overpriced. I ended up having collett and sons do my 100 amp subpanel for a reasonable price.

I got a few other prices as well from area electrical services, but these were two that stood out.

Good Luck
and welcome

putting a couple of breakers in your panel is very simple and something u can do yourself. if your trying to isolate existing electrical receptacles that can be a whole different issue. if you dig through the DRC forum(srry my search doesnt work) u can find the thread on my 255g build. i did fairly extensive electrical work for my tank and it is all VERY easy.

adding an electrical outlet on its own 15 amp circuit will cost you about $10 + 50 cent a foot for the length of 14/3 wire you will need to run

trying to put an existing electrical receptacle on its own circuit is next to impossible.
