anyone know about these snails

Looks like a nassarius to me. Some are from cooler water and don't do well in a reef environment. I know the vibex are ok in a reef. Not sure what flavor that one is though.
 
I agree with 4adam12. Poor performance in warmer water if they cannot promise they are the vibex species. From the picture, their shell seems too smooth to be vibex.
 
Looks like a mud welk found around the east coast. I would say don't bother unless you keep a cool tank.
 
thank you everyone that article was extremely cool and interesting I keep a tank at around 75 so I will probably just go to the pet store and get some.
