Anyone Know anything about Frilly Arrow Crab- Achaeus spinosus

I have read about the terrors of the regular Arrow Crab and know those would not be a good addition, but I found this really cool hairy looking one that is tiny and looks like it can't harm anything so I bought it. I figured I would be able to find some info, but I am coming up very little. Narrowed down to most likely being Achaeus spinosus.

Also found pics that possibly indicated Metoporhaphis calcaratus.

This guy is tiny and I was hoping to put it in my daughter's nano- found one blurb in posts that mentioned they are model crab citizens.

These are stock images- can't get a good pic in the conatainer it is in right now. The first pic looks really similar.

Anyone here have experience with these or know much about them?

I am about to, but don't want my daughter to get sad if I throw in a crab that eats all her nano fish.

Read that they eat plankton and only get to 1.6".

Gonna wait til later inn the day and maybe someone will be able to chime with info before I go guinea pig status..

Arrow crabs will eat bristle worms, at least the larger type do. Post on the invert sub-forum.

OK, thanks Rik. Will do. But I am itching to get this cool little creature in a tank free to roam.

If it's that small you might not see it much. Arrow crabs like caves

California Aquariums got one in last Thursday and were going to put it in a small tank with LPS and a few small fish. I saw it during acclimation. Cool looking crab. Give them a call to find out how theirs is doing.

And nothing from invert forum, BTW. So THANKS SC Reefers for the input.

Went ahead and put it into my daughter's tank. Crossing my fingers, but I think it should be fine. Super cool crab.
