looking for a site that sells used items for photography like the macro lense 100mm that canon has , also is there anyone that rents them?

Sure, most of the big name photography stores have a used section (B&H, Adorama). I've never ordered from them but KEH is another store and the vast majority of their stuff is used.

I love browsing KEH.com just because they get in a lot of OLD weird stuff that you never knew even existed before :lol:. They sometimes get stuff even they don't know what it is.

I do by used gear from B&H too, mainly because that way I get a return policy.

Fredmiranda.com has a good used gear section but you have to pay to use it.

I'd use adorama/BH for used and refurbished lenses,
if I want to buy used from other people, POTN (photography on the net) or FM(Fredmiranda.com)
borrowlenses.com or lensrentals.com if you want to rent

FM allows non-subscribers to buy, but you must pay to sell.

I've used B&H and Adorama's used dept... very good, no problems.

KEH is awesome and famous for their conservative ratings. I've bought several BGN(bargain) lenses from them and the lenses look very good.

A word of warning.... be careful when buying used stuff in places like CL/eBay. There's a thread on DPR where a guy bought a used D700 and when he sent it to Nikon for repair, they did not want to give it back to him. Nikon is claiming that the serial no. was reported as stolen. When you buy used stuff from private sellers, especially high-ticket items, you MUST insist that you get the original box and sales receipt.
