Anyone know the industru standard seal number for sequence or reeflo pump?

The slinger is a thin, flexible rubber washer on the pump shaft between the pump head and the motor. The idea is that if the seal leaks and water heads towards the motor, the slinger washer will "sling" the water away instead of having it enter the motor.

Also curious about the performance thus far.

Any new update on this seal operation?. I am in need of a new one for my backup pump (a baracudda). Does the grainger part number referenced come with the ceramic ring or is it just the seal? Thanks for all the great information!

Still good. The picture of the seals in post #11 is what was from grainger and reeflo showing both halves of the seal needed. I did a swap out on a buddy's barracuda with a reeflo seal that ended up with a cracked carbon seal on startup, but I don't know if I whacked it on install or it was defective from the factory. Either way I'd rather risk whacking a $15 seal rather than a $45 seal, but I'm pretty handy with an upanddown wrench so I'm leaning towards a bad seal from the get go
