I don't remember the name of the sand I used to use. A thick almost rocky sand. And anyone know who would have it in stock today ? Thanks any help would be appreciated. Trying to set up a tank with a lot of flow and don't want to go bare bottom with this one.

It depends on how coarse you are talking about. Carib sea has a coarse sand called Aruba Puka Shell tipical size 7-25 mm. There is also another called volcano beach. I would go to the page of the Caribsea and go to aquarium substrate.

Are you talking about the sand Coral Reef farm used to sell?

Marvin don't remember exactly who used to sell it but could be. I've used it in the past and I have the memory of a fish so refreshing my memory on a lot of things. Lol so far got me 2 radions pro 3rd gen. And vortech mp40w with a few other necessary things. Ofcourse going sps again.

Was it Cora Pet sand? I have some for sale if that's the one. 1 new bag and some from my 300 tank.

Hey eddie temporarily set up a 65 gallon tank in the room. I'm looking to build 300 dd marineland in the living slowly. the 65 gallon is simple. 1 vortech mp40w, sump with filter sock and vertex bubble king skimmer, with a ATO and 2 oeritalgic pumps fr dosing 2 part, 2 radios pro gen3. looking for probably an apex or actually looking for any recommendations right now about the computer. i would like one i can preferably use on both tanks if possible. keeping it primarily sps. You know me. can't stay awy from sps. and going to be looking for someone local with really nice sps collection to sell me some frags. ;)

Cool.
Apex-IMHO has kept up with technology big time.
Not crazy about your choice of lights- prob OK for a 65G, maybe, But like your a SPS freak, I am also, But im a MH freak. I had a very nice 65G SPS tank with 6x T-5
SPS- I can guide you to a few folks with frags, :).

Radion pros are fine. Don't let Eddie convince you otherwise. Might not be as foolproof as T5 or MH, but the work. 2 on a 65 will also give you good coverage for SPS.

Thanks Eddie . I do love metal halides bit the light bill drop when I took down my 3 400watts halides was very nice. So trying out these LED. And rovster thanks no worries no minds getting changed. Too late now already bought and let's see how it goes. Can't hurt to try.
