Anyone know what these eggs are from?

I was cleaning the glass on my tank last week and noticed this huge mass of black eggs on my magnet...I have done a ton of research and can't seem to come up what they may be from. Don't have lots of livestock in my tank. The stocking list is:
Red and blue leg hermit
3 blue green chromis
2 nitrile (spp) snails
2 Mexican turbos
6 astrea (spp) snails
1 fire shrimp
1 common cleaner shrimp

Any thoughts?

Looks like bubble algae to me too. Also that magnet looks like it's starting to rust and break apart. You may want to look into replacing it.

It is definitely not bubble algea. I have seen that before and this looks nothing like it to me. I will see if I can get a better picture. Funny, I was planning on replacing the magnet when I saw these in there. Thought I would leave it in for a week or two more to see what transpires....this is the only spot in the entire tank where I see these things. Thanks for the posts....keep em coming.

Ok. A more clear picture will help. Did you try touching them? Are they soft to the touch? It's not something leaching out of the magnet it it?

Yup, soft to the touch, and there are a couple more strings of them on the magnet in areas where there is no rusting.

Took it out.....if it was bubble algea I didn't want to find out. I do however do not think that's what it was as it was not there one day and there the next.
