Anyone know what this is? Picture

I have literally watched this thing slowly crawl around on my rocks. It's pretty thin, too thin to a snail I would think. Once it got to the spot in the pictures it has stayed there for weeks and grown. It is about 2x the size as when I saw it for the first time a month ago.

It does kind of look like a Limpet. Just try and pry it from the rocks the next time you see it and you should be able to tell right away. The fact that it hasn't moved in quite awhile seems more indicative of a Limpet as opposed to a Stomatella snail too IMO.

I agree, limpit, the first time I was on my phone and I saw it the middle ring made me think it was the snail cap on the stomatella's back. But now seeing on a PC in larger I see it's a solid, pointy shell. Limpit for certain.

"m in the limpet group too. Stomatella snails have a flatter shell than limpet's do. Also with limpets they don't have much of their flesh extending past the shell where Stomatella snails have a long tail

Another one for the limpet clan. I have a couple of those in my my sump and in and round the crevices of my live rock. Good to have
