Anyone know what type of eel this is?

Friend is looking to give me an eel. He had No idea what it is. Any clue?

Thanks guys. I'll look into those. I was looking all night and the pattern on it looks like a yellow margin moray.

Just googled yellow margin and it does look about right, apparently these get big, fishbase lists them as up to 2.4m, I'm also no expert but I would imagine this fish is best avoided unless you have a huge tank with nothing it can eat, which i would imagine is pretty much anything that moves once it gets big enough but again no expert

a few other sources list it as 4ft, fishbase likely represents the max recorded. the sources I have looked at all list it as a very aggressive species, one even states it poses the greatest risk to divers of all hawaiin morays!

haha and mind your fingers! Just seen one website that recomends a 125g minimum and no hand feeding!
