Anyone know where I can borrow or rent suction grips to move a bif a$$ tank?

My display tank & stand is due in early next month. The tank is 800 lbs and the stand is about 300 lbs.

The tank is being delivered to ABF in Kirkwood (Binghamton) and I need to get it to the house (New Milford) and inside onto the stand.

If I can find somewhere to rent/borrow 6-8 suction grips for glass, I can then hopefully find some big guys to help pick it up and move it inside (I'm assuming I can find a way to get the crate from ABF to the house)

(Rogers Moving in Binghamton can do the whole thing - pick it up at ABF and setup up at the house, but it sounds like that would cost me around $1,200 -- which seems a bit steep to me :headwallblue: )

btw, I'm in New Milford between Scranton & Binghamotn on I-81

thanks... I'm getting that advice from most folks... first time I have brought one in that heavy so I have no experience with it.

"leave it to the pros, get a six pack and set back and watch"

I still sort of view that cost was just exorbitant, but I suppose that framed against the cost of the entire system, it's not that bad... still, I'd rather use that money for other stuff :)

Most tool rental stores have them (Vacuum Cup) for rent. But the ones I called when needed only carried 2. I got away with 4 total (for Marineland DD300).
Required that I traveled too two different stores to rent and return.

If you have a rental chain store near you they may be able to get more from other stores in for you.Otherwise you may have to travel between stores also.
