Anyone Looking for Xenia?

I need to thin out my Xenia population since it is encroaching on too many other corals. If anyone wants some, I would be happy to donate. Let me know if anyone is interested.

I think that is probably the extent of what I would like to get rid of this time around. I will make up portions for Cruella, Lakeside, amf82380, and Coral007 based on when you can stop by to pick them up. I live in Niskayuna and will be available after 6pm through Friday - the weekend is out, but next week is a possibility for pick-up as well. Send me a PM when you would be available to stop by and I will give you directions.

I can do a pickup if easier for some folks. Amy I owe you a coral as is.... and Kris, my chiller should be here either today or tomorrow. Oh Yeah, and Dave, need to hook up with you for the b-ionic. Could do pickup on Thursday, maybe meet you guys on Friday (Dave over the weekend). I plan to take friday afternoon off from work.

If you've got any more or more coming up, Please put me in line, I'd like a frag or 2 for my nano tank

Thanks

Well I picked up those xenia. They did not seem to mind being cut off the rock at all. They kept pulsing all the way to their new home. It was almost as if they were saying, "Yay! Where are we going?!" LOL.

It was a real pleasure meeting Kevin, his wife, his two children, his playful dog, and all his others in their beautiful tanks. Just wish I could have stayed longer. I really hated having to cut and run like that(pun intended).

Thanks Kevin. Kudos! I'll let you all know how they are making out in a few days.

Hey - looks like there is one more bag of Xenia available. Someone was supposed to come by tonight to pick it up, but they never showed. I know it's late, but I will be out of town Saturday and Sunday - if anyone wants to come by and grab it, it's yours. PM me by 10:30 if you want to stop by. Otherwise, I am going to bed.

LOL. Welllll... A couple of the xenia made it. Within an hour after I left the tank a few of the new xenia were eaten by a couple of sea stars and a hermit crab in the tank. But the others are doing just fine. Happy and as healthy as can be without having been eaten. LOL

Good to hear a few of them made it - this being my first time trying to cut these things back, I think I learned something important... only cut the big Xenia. The smaller ones that I had cut shrunk to a very small size and ceased pulsing while the larger ones continued to pulse after being cut.

It's amazing to see the Xenia regenerating almost immediately in my tank. The tiny stumps that I left behind are growing little Xenia hands - pretty cool to see. On the negative side, it would seem that once they are established in a certain area of the tank I would have a lot of trouble removing them.

Kevin,
If it's not to late I'd love some xenia. I didn't have luck with the $25 frag I got from Eddies. I would love to keep some but not if it's going to cost me that much everytime! PM me if you have any left. I live in Scotia so pick up is not an issue if that's best for you.
