Anyone looking to clean out some of their mushroom?

I'm wanting to start adding coral and mushroom is the first I want. I lust after zoas as well but not sure how I'll like coral in the tank so I want to start with some mushroom.

I hate the idea of them being shipped from who knows where and it's just as far or farther to any stores that sell coral. So thought I'd check here first.

Hey SeeCrabRun.

Why do you differentiate between the Zoanthids and Mushrooms (assuming Actniodiscus/Discosoma?) Is this difference just based on ascetic appeal or are you concerned about husbandry of this genus?

Where are you located? there are several stores in central alabama you can pick up these corals as well as north alabama.

Mostly its because they are toxic and while the likelihood is rare of being harmed, I'm not OK with the idea currently.

Also I'd love some ricordea.

Palythoa are toxic yes but unless you have deep wounds and you're bleeding profusely you really have nothing to worry about I assure you. This comes from someone who has been in the hobby for 15 years now and worked in marine retail/importing hundreds of colonies over the course of 4.5years.

Ricordia florida are very easy to keep low flow/medium flow/ good lighting, good water quality and your set. They are also easily propagated.

myself no, I just started another reef which is mostly SPS corals/LPS corals. I only have ricordia florida right now in the way of mushrooms, and they aren't ready to propagate.
