Anyone paint the back of a corner overflow?

So I just purchased a new 120G with a corner overflow, that same corner will be visible and thought about taping it off and painting that section black too.

Anyone do this? Any reason not to?

I didn't paint mine, which helped because I've had fish jump into the overflow and I can see them. Personally, i like to see the plumbing, but it's a personal preference.

I put dark window tint on mine, just like the back. It works good because it looks blacked out, but you can shine a light in and see if you needed to.

At some labor I used a razor to peel off the factory black vinyl coating on the back of my tank: I like the reflectivity a corner tank has without it. Sort of like mirrored sides.

A thin piece of plexiglass with velcro can do the trick if you worry about fish jumping in there. If you don't like the white pvc pipes you can always use Krylon Fusion to paint them black or get black abs pipe; I don't know if black pvc is commonly available.
