Anyone put a calcium reactor inside your sump?

I have seen most people put the calcium reactor outside the sump.

However, since I don't have much space under my tank, I was thinking that I can put the reactor inside my sump and put the CO2 tank and regulator outside the sump.

Has anyone put your Calcium reactor inside your sump and have the CO2 tank on the outside?

If you do, does it perform well and what kind (model & number) of Calcium reactor do you have?

Also, if possible, can you post a picture of your setup? Thanks.

I have an homemade calcium reactor inside the sump and obviously the CO2 tank is outside the sump ,there is no problem doing this,IMO is also more secure ....you know if something broke the water goes inside the tank.

Mine is inside my sump a KR2 calcium reactor along with the secondary efluent chamber works great IMO. The caluk reactor is outside the sump.

Check out H&S. Three sizes available. Made to go in sump and no plumbing for feed water required. The pump gets its water directly from the water in the sump.

I have heard of a lot of people doing it, if I had a large enough sump I would have, next tank I do is definitely going to have an area inside the sump for it, I think it is definitely a safe way to go. I have mine outside of the sump right now and I have it sitting inside of a rubbermaid container so if something were to happen the container would catch most of the water, unfortunately not all, but it would definitely be safer in the sump......
