Anyone remember OceanWorld in Summit/Ashland KY

Just wondering, I know its out of business now and was on the decline when I left. I spent a few summers working there many many years ago (time does go to quick!). It was where my reef addiction truly began. Many nights spent unloading fish orders until 2AM and loving every minute of it. Just wondering if anyone here in the Appalachian Reef Society remembers it. Was a great place to have in the Ashland area, not sure what you have in the way of reef stores now.

Oh yea it was in the Summit Plaza.
We were into freshwater at the time but I remember going in and lusting over those exotic hard to keep saltwater systems. :inlove:
We see the guy that owned it from time to time at another LFS and a member here is a good friend of his.

Bert's Pet Center is in Ashland/Russell now and has around 2700 gallons in the salt side so we've got a great place to feed our addiction.

Jason I don't remember when it went out of business but they'd closed by the time we switched to salt in 1998.

Yes I know him and talk to him every once and a while. yes i do remember the store I was there all the time I made all of the doors on the tanks.

I think its more of a disease some days then a Addiction!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL I went to the place in Ashland a while back got a good deal on some sand didn't want to try corals over night at the casino in Charleston.
