Anyone selling a SCWD in the LA/ OC area?

No... the mag 7 was for a friend. I got a mag 12, but am gonna use this on a closed loop. Thanks for the heads up, though.

BTW, did u and my friend ever hook up for the mag 7?

sorry to discourage any type of sale, but i wouldn't go with the scwd. it greatly reduces your flow and breaks down if you don't clean it. seeing as how it is connected to the plumbing, such a hassle to take off and clean.

I am not a huge fan either, but they work decently. The one I am selling is the spare I bought and never used. That being said, I ran one for almost a year and only cleaned it twice. No lockup problems for me.

Yeah... I have heard that they can cause some issues. I was planning to use on a closed loop, not on my return plumbing.

Reefguy714, thanks again for the great deal yesterday! The rock looks GREAT in my tank.

Slavearm, $25 sounds ok. I will have to get with you after RAP, though. I have spend SOOOOO much money these past few weeks... and I want to save my last few pennies for RAP. So if you still have it next week, I will take it. K?

I had a SCWD connected to a Mag12 and it was almost too much flow for my 60g as a closed loop. I would actually really recommend it if you are looking for a low budget option, it really doesnt get any cheaper. It never broke down, and like I said with the Mag12, it provided tons of flow. If it does break down, say within even a year, for $20/$25 you can afford to replace it many times before you ever spend nearly as much on any other wave solution.

Next week is fine by me. It is just sitting in my Garage Cabinet right now... waiting.... waiting.... waiting... to fullfil someones dreams of randomized current flow!

LOL. You make it sound so pathetic... I felt sorry for it for a moment. That sounds good. If I dont find anything to buy at RAP (which I HIGHLY doubt will be the case), I will contact you sooner. Thanks again!

Good advice, cooltank. I am gonna go for it. If it isnt enough flow, I will add a closed loop in addition to my return pump... and move the scwd to the closed loop. But I think it will be more than enough. Well C! :)
